Christine

I was carrying around my silly wine sign for work and she wanted to take my picture, and I loved her accessories and coat ((look at the lining you can see inside the cropped sleeves! I love the subtle use of animal prints)) so much that I wanted to take her picture back. Annnd she designed that super cool rooster ring! You can get one here: alwayscristinejewelry.com. I didn't notice when I took her picture, but the back part of the ring makes it even more special. Check it out on her website! I want one!and her boots were pretty rad too!

Love Love Love!

Halloween is over! BOO!

These were my favorites this year.

Sad to have to wait another year for my favorite day, but joyfully moving forward: I'm going to make a super sweet collection of RollerDisco short shorts by March; Just in time for WMC!
So be prepared for some serious business attire for attending to some serious business.

Because I don't take off my skates!
*(those shorts above are from American Apparel. The Athena Alicandri RollerDisco short shorts will be something completely different)

St. Marks

I saw these girls from across the street and just thought their style was just so easygoing and cool. I think the proportions of that dotted dress are just super perfect, and the white shoes with the little socks are lovely as well.
And I've always been a fan of a nice swishy, silky, pretty, hippie-dippy skirt. They always make me want to twirl around, and they remind me of all the markets in Milano, and they're so light and airy.
Sadly, I drank way too much coffee and ate way too little food that day, so I had the shakes something fierce, and it's a bit out of focus... boo.

But check out these sunglasses! (which I managed to steady myself enough to capture)

They're her grandma's! Cool! they have little flecks of what looks like foil, like gold leaf, but in greens and golds and coppers kind of permanently suspended in the plastic. Super unique and beautiful!

Chelsea Girls

I tried, but did a pretty poor job of restraining myself from screaming like a 15 year old "OH MY GAHD I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!!!!"
but it is just so well balanced, and adorable. The colors of the yellow roses and the yellow shoes, and her awesome red lipstick, even the brown on the soles of the shoes and the belt... It's so perfectly matching, but doesn't have that matchy trying too hard look at all.
The shoes are the best part though. I love when girly and utilitarian things are worn together; Plus they remind me of my lovely friend Miss Anne, who just left for England for the year and who I'm missing like crazy.

I saw this awesome dress and had to take a picture! It has this crazy dead tree print on it!

That Dress is so awesome! I love the cut as well as the beautiful tree print. Her hat and shoes were pretty freaking adorable too. She's also carrying multiple bags, which although It isn't my fashion move aesthetically, still makes me like her more, because I'm always carrying around my life with me, too. LOVE IT!

Anyway, so here's my life updated super quick: I've moved in with my grandparents about 20 minutes outside the city to avoid all that silly business of paying rent, but I spend a lot of time in Brooklyn at my boyfriend's house these days. I'm doing 2 fashion internships: one in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for In God We Trust, and the other one in midtown Manhattan at Miguelina. I just started both 2 weeks ago, 2 days a week at each, so I'm kind of feeling them out. It's a good feeling to be moving in the direction I want to again after a long stretch of just working and trying to survive in New York.
Wish me luck!
